Message from Chairman, ATMA, Ganjam.

The Agricultural Technology Management Agency (ATMA) with the assistance of world Bank through National Agricutural Technology Project (NATP) has started a new adventure to develop the technical knowledge of farmers and I hope and believe that it will bring a revolutionary change in the field of Agriculture. I am glad to express that not only Govt. Deptt. but also farmers’ representatives, Research Centers and NGOs ect. are jointly in a platform to manage its activities. No doubt with the involvement of these, there will be all round development of farm and farming community. Now its aims and objectives are necessarily felt among the rural mass. This agency has prepared the Block Action Plan (BAP) as per the need of farmers in cunsultation with the farmers representative and technical officers posted at the Block Level (BTT). Different awareness camps, Workshops, Training camps are going on specially on Vermi Composting ,Pisciculture by Women Interested Group (WIG), Mushroom Cultivation, floriculture etc. The integrated approach on agro-based activities of 5 line deptt. Agriculture, Soil Conservation, horticulture, Fishery and Animal Husbandry have been started through ATMA. In nut-Shell it is said that ATMA is working as a bridge in between Agriculture Research and Extension. At last but not the least I hope and belive that in future ATMA, Ganjam will be helpful for the skill  development of Agricultural farmers and farming community as a whole
