FUNCTIONS OF ATMA MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE

  1. Carry out periodic participatory appraisal (PRA) to identify the problem on constraints faced by farmers of different socio-economic group with in the district 
  2. To prepare an integrated ,strategic research and extension plan (S.R.E.P) for the district that would specify short and medium term adaptive as well technology validation and refinement and extension priorities for the district these priorities should reelect the the important constraint identified during the PRA.
  3. Prepare annual work plan and budget proposal that would be submitted to the ATMA GOVERNING BOARD for review ,possible modification and appraisal 
  4. Co-ordinate the execution of these annual work plans through participating line department ,ZRS,KVKs,NGOs,FIG,and allied institutions ,including private sector firms.
  5. Maintain appropriate project accounts and carry out satisfactory audit there of for submission to technology dissemination unit(TDU).
  6. Establish co-ordinating mechanism at the block level ,such as FAC that would integrate extension and technology transfer activities at the block and village level.
  7. Provide annual performance report to the governing board out lining  the various research, extension and related activities that were actually carried out, including targets achieved .
  8. Provide secretarial assistance to the governing board and initial action on policy direction, investment decision and other guidance received  from the board.
